Iran helps shoot down US ships - NBC

Despite the US attacks on the positions of armed groups affiliated with Iran in the region, the government of Tehran continues to provide arms, ammunition and information support to the proxy forces.

Axar.az reports that this was written by "NBC News" concerning US officials.

According to reports, the Yemeni Houthis are taking advantage of Iran's intelligence support to determine the location of American forces in the region and to more accurately target merchant ships in the Red Sea.

For the past several months, the Behshad, an Iranian-flagged vessel sailing in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, has been using electronic surveillance equipment to transmit information about merchant ships to the Houthis.

It should be noted that the leader of the Yemeni Houthis, Abdul Malik al-Houthi, stated on February 6, threatening that if the war in Gaza continues, the group he leads will intensify its attacks in the region.
