Georgian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense Irakli Chikovani had a telephone conversation with his Armenian counterpart Suren Papikyan.

Axar.az reports that Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan wrote about this on his Facebook account.

"During the telephone conversation, I congratulated my colleague on his appointment as the Minister of Defense of Georgia. We discussed cooperation in the field of defense and upcoming measures, and exchanged views on security issues.

We confirmed that we are ready for continuous development of mutual relations," Papikyan said.
