Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will pay an official visit to Iraq on April 22.
Axar.az reports that "TRT Haber" has published information about this.
It should be noted that this will be the first official visit of the Turkish leader to Iraq in the last 12 years.
Let's add that Erdogan's planned visit to Baghdad will take place against the background of Ankara's harsh rhetoric regarding the possibility of a new cross-border military operation in the north of Iraq.
The Turkish leader declared some time ago that the issue of border security with Iraq will be resolved this summer. It is believed that the purpose of the operation will be to clear the northern regions of Iraq from PKK terrorists up to a depth of 40 km.
