UK-based private firm Tanks-a-lot has acquired old Soviet howitzers that were once part of the arsenal of former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein.
Axar.az informs that "BneIntelli News" published information about this with reference to Austrian and Latvian sources.
According to information, these weapons are currently delivered to Ukraine via the Baltic Sea:
"Photos of the 122mm Gvozdika and 152mm Acacia howitzers have surfaced on the Internet, and their desert camouflage clearly indicates their origin.
Although the details of the transit remain unclear, especially how the weapons reached Latvia, one thing is clear: their final destination is Ukraine. These weapons played an important role during the Iran-Iraq war in the 1980s. After the fall of Saddam's regime, the weapons fell into the hands of the coalition forces of the United States and Great Britain. The weapons had to be neutralized and destroyed, but no effective solution was found. Instead, they returned to Europe."
