Zarif withdrew his candidacy for the presidency

Iran's former foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif, has withdrawn his candidacy for the upcoming presidential elections in the country.

Axar.az reports that this information was released by the ILNA news agency.

"Former Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif responded 'no' to the question of whether he would participate in the elections," the agency said.

It should be noted that for a while, the Iranian media had added the name of former Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif to the list of candidates for the presidential elections in the country.
