U.S. President Donald Trump has approved the execution by U.S. Army firing squad of Nidal Malik Hasan, the former Army major convicted of carrying out the 2009 mass shooting at Fort Hood, Texas.
Axar.az reports, citing Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell’s post on X, that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth recommended the execution method and Trump approved it.
"He killed 13 people and wounded 32 others while shouting “Allahu Akbar” during the attack. The Secretary of the Army will set the time and place of the execution. Judgement day for Hasan has finally come," he added.
