Harris announces $1.5 billion aid boost for Ukraine

United States Vice President Kamala Harris unveiled over $1.5 billion in additional aid for Ukraine during her participation in a peace summit in Lucerne, Switzerland.

Axar.az reports that Harris, substituting for President Joe Biden at the summit, announced the aid package which includes $500 million in new funding for energy assistance. Additionally, $324 million from previously allocated funds will be redirected to urgently repair energy infrastructure damaged in recent attacks by Russia.

The vice president emphasized that these measures aim to bolster Ukraine's ability to recover from energy disruptions and enhance its energy resilience.
