Almost four years have passed since the signing of the November 10 statement. During this period, Armenia prioritized arming and training in order to strengthen itself against Azerbaijan in a military sense. When we look at the diplomatic activities, we see that Armenia has chosen America and the EU instead of Russia and started to get closer to them strategically. In addition to all this, provocations continue. Five days ago, our positions in Kalbajar were fired with heavy weapons, and yesterday they tried to make a reconnaissance flight with a quadcopter. These show that Armenia is willing to use an iron fist again, not to sign a peace treaty.

These words were said by the former military attaché of Turkiye in our country, lieutenant general Yucel Karauz, who told Axar.az about the recent provocations of the Armenian army.

The general stressed that Turkiye is always with Azerbaijan, and if Armenia tries a new war, it will face the threat of extinction as a state.

"They are also asking Azerbaijan for time regarding constitutional changes. That is, delaying the process and taking advantage of all opportunities, they arm themselves. On the day they announce that they will respond to Azerbaijan's proposals regarding the peace treaty, they resort to provocation. We know very well who and which countries gave courage to Pashinyan's government. Their name was clearly mentioned in the latest statement of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan. But Pashinyan's government and those who caress its head and incites it must realize that trying to start a new war will be the biggest historical mistake of Armenia. No one should play with the patience of Turkiye and Azerbaijan. Have them read the Shusha Declaration over and over again. This document was not prepared and signed in vain. Everyone should know that no matter who supports Armenia, the result will not change. If they hope for something and take the wrong step, they won't be able to open their eyes, let alone activate the weapons they bought. Those standing behind them will leave them in the middle and run away. We want to live in peace, to have a normal relationship, so we are patient. However, those who see our patience as weakness, who think that we will step back and compromise, are making a big mistake. There is no retreat, no compromise in the defense of the homeland!"
