Russia besieges Vuhledar

Russian troops have effectively besieged the city of Vuhledar in the Donetsk region.

Axar.az reports that according to Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the Commission on Sovereignty Issues of the Russian Public Chamber and co-chairman of the Coordination Council for the Integration of New Regions, "Vuhledar is effectively besieged by Russian troops, who are simultaneously attacking from several directions, pushing the enemy northward. The Nazis (referring to the Ukrainian army) are being targeted in their positions in the city with artillery, aviation, and heavy flame systems like ‘Solntsepek’."

He noted that the Ukrainian army has only one route left to retreat from the city, but that route is also under the fire control of Russian troops: "For example, a maximum of five out of ten can escape the city. Vuhledar has become another example of a quagmire for Ukrainian forces, who have previously been offered to lay down their arms, surrender, and save their lives."
