The West is trying to open a second front against Russia in the Caucasus.

Axar.az reports that this was said by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

"Western countries do not stop trying to open a second front against Russia and to escalate the situation in Abkhazia and South Ossetia. They intend to rekindle the conflict, pit Georgia and these two republics against each other and inflame relations. "Most of the risks observed here are related to maximizing the influence of the West and undermining Russia's opportunities for equal and mutually beneficial cooperation with the countries of the South Caucasus," Lavrov stressed.
