Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will have a phone conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin on the 80th anniversary of Belgrade's liberation.

Axar.az reports this information via RIA Novosti.

“The two leaders will exchange views on all current issues, especially regional matters, as well as the unfavorable situation faced by the Serbian people in the autonomous province of Kosovo and Metohija,” Serbian media wrote.

Vucic himself noted that he has not spoken with Putin on the phone for 2.5 years.

To mark the 80th anniversary of Belgrade's liberation, the Serbian government will begin celebrations by laying wreaths at the monument to fallen Soviet soldiers on Mount Avala. The ceremony will be led by Nemanja Starović, Serbia’s Minister of Labor, Social Welfare, and Veterans Affairs, with participation from officials of the Serbian Ministry of Defense and ambassadors from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan.

An "Immortal Regiment" march will also take place in the capital.
