Lula to miss BRICS summit due to health issues

Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva will not attend the BRICS summit in Kazan, scheduled for October 22-24, due to health issues.

Axar.az reports that the Brazilian Presidential Press Service announced this information.

The president will participate in the meeting via video conference:
"On his doctor’s advice, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has been temporarily restricted from long-distance air travel and will not travel to the BRICS summit in Kazan."
