Global reactions to Ankara terror attack

The terrorist act that occurred in Ankara has elicited reactions from various countries around the world.

Axar.az reports that many countries have issued statements condemning this act of terror.

Here are statements from individual countries:

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev expressed condolences to Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan:

“The news of casualties and injuries resulting from the terrorist act against TAI deeply disturbed us. We strongly condemn this treacherous act of terror and offer our heartfelt condolences to you, the families of the deceased, and the Turkish people on behalf of myself and the Azerbaijani people. I wish a speedy recovery to the injured.”

Greek leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis also issued a statement regarding the attack:

“I strongly condemn the terrorist act that occurred today in Ankara. I extend my deepest condolences to the families of the deceased.”

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated:

“The news of casualties and injuries in the Ankara attack shocked me. We vehemently condemn all forms of terrorism and stand by our partner Turkiye.”

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated:

“We stand with our ally Turkiye regarding the terrorist act at TAI. We strongly condemn all forms of terrorism.”

The U.S. Embassy in Ankara stated:

“As the U.S., we strongly condemn today’s terrorist act and extend our condolences to the families of the victims. We wish a swift recovery to those injured. We stand with our ally Turkiye.”
