Adrian Severin, former Romanian Foreign Minister and ex-President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, stated that the BRICS Summit in Kazan has revealed the failure of Western efforts to isolate Russia.

Axar.az reports that , citing TASS, he observed that "BRICS is gradually evolving from an association focused on economic goals into a group with political and diplomatic capabilities."

Severin noted that the Kazan summit emphasizes BRICS' potential to become a structure within a new Eurasian world order, which could create a new international context. This would allow member countries to reassess their national interests and help resolve longstanding conflicts, such as the border dispute between India and China, tensions between Iran and Saudi Arabia, and the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict.

He added that the BRICS summit signifies "the beginning of the de-dollarization of the global economy, diminishing the United States' major leverage for maintaining its global dominance."
