Pakistani security forces killed nine insurgents during a shootout in a former stronghold of the Pakistani Taliban in the unstable northwestern region near Afghanistan, the military announced on Thursday.

Axar.az reports that the operation took place overnight between October 23 and 24, targeting a hideout based on intelligence about the presence of foreign militants.

Among those killed were two suicide bombers and a high-value target named Saeed, also known as Qureshi Ustad, who was a wanted foreign terrorist leader. A substantial amount of weapons, ammunition, and explosives were seized from the terrorists.
