"As you know, Trump has made a promise to end the confrontations initiated by Israel. We want that promise to be fulfilled, and for Israel to be told 'stop.'"

Axar.az reports that this statement was made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during a press conference after returning from his visits to Kyrgyzstan and Hungary.

"We hope that during his second term, Mr. Trump will create an era where lasting peace and tranquility are ensured in the region. We are advocates for peace and harmony. Failure to present a permanent solution to the Israel-Palestine issue creates a spiral of violence, and our region is trapped in that cycle. Continuing the policies of the Biden era will deepen problems in the region and escalate tensions. We definitely do not want that. I believe that stopping the military aid provided to Israel by Mr. Trump would be a good start to halt Israel's aggressive behavior in Palestine and Lebanon," he added.

Erdogan also emphasized that supporting Israel's territorial expansion ambitions could escalate tensions in the region and broaden conflict zones:
"It would be beneficial for countries outside the region to consider all these risks when shaping their Middle East policies. Trump's presidency will significantly affect the political and military balance in the Middle East. Taking steps to promote peace and stability in the region will ensure the building of global peace. Otherwise, the spread of conflicts and continued massacres will leave everyone defeated."
