The US Department of Defense will send shipments of weapons to Ukraine weekly.

Axar.az reports that Sabrina Singh, Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary, this is necessary to ensure that the remaining assistance for our country is delivered promptly.

She stated that the weekly shipments are intended to ensure that the remaining $7.1 billion in aid for Ukraine is allocated before the end of US President Joe Biden's term and his administration.

Singh added that the continuation of weapon deliveries is part of the commitment Biden made to Ukraine.

"The secretary is not going to allow the department to dip below readiness levels that he doesn't feel comfortable with. So as we continue to refill our own shelves, you're going to see equipment capabilities continue to flow out," Singh concluded.
