I am very pleased to be here with the Deputy Minister and to emphasize America's support for a successful COP29. Azerbaijan has been at the center of much of the work and energy debates of the United States for decades.

Axar.az informs that Geoffrey Pyatt, US Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Resources, said this at the session on "More than production: Creating infrastructure to achieve energy transition goals" organized by SOCAR within the framework of COP29.

"We see the need for investments during the energy transition period. "Investment in the clean energy economy is close to half a trillion dollars a year in the United States," he said.
