Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asked German Chancellor Olaf Scholz not to call Russian President Volodymyr Putin.

Axar.az reports that Scholz informed Zelensky in advance about the plans to talk with Putin.

"The chancellor told our president that he will talk to Putin. The president said that this will help Putin reduce his isolation. Putin does not want real peace, he wants a break," the source said.

It should be noted that there was a telephone conversation between the chancellor and Putin.
