The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with Jean-Charles Ellermann-Kingomb, assistant to the NATO Secretary General for innovation, hybrid and cyber issues, within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).

It was reported that the current partnership issues between Azerbaijan and NATO, cooperation prospects within the framework of our COP29 presidency were discussed at the meeting. Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted with satisfaction that the 30th anniversary of the "Partnership for Peace" Program, which laid the foundation for cooperation between our country and NATO, was celebrated this year, and that a number of joint projects were implemented under conditions of mutual cooperation.
During the 30 years of our partnership, Azerbaijan's exemplary participation in NATO peacekeeping operations, as well as its active participation in mutually beneficial cooperation within the framework of NATO, led to the recognition of our country as a reliable partner.
Within the framework of our COP29 presidency, it was brought to our attention that we are ready to cooperate with NATO in the direction of advancing climate action.
During the meeting, opinions were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
