Putin calls for strengthened security cooperation in CIS

The stability of the situation in both the CIS region and neighboring areas must be maintained.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in a letter from Russian President Vladimir Putin to the meeting of the heads of security and intelligence agencies of the CIS countries.

“To achieve this, as before, it is necessary to identify any negative trends and potential threats to collective security, predict their development, and exchange information and work experience. For the past 20 years, such meetings have allowed for the discussion of relevant, professional issues, the joint development of solutions to protect CIS countries from internal and external threats, and the establishment of new forms and mechanisms for cooperation between intelligence agencies,” Putin stated.
