Three Azerbaijani wrestlers claimed silver medals at the U-20 European Championships in Greco-Roman wrestling, held in Caorle, Italy, on July 1, 2025.

Axar.az informs the championship, which continued into its second day, saw competitions across five weight categories. Azerbaijan’s Turan Dashdamirov reached the final but was edged out by Russia’s Ivan Solomin on a first-point principle, ending with a 1:1 score. In the 63 kg category, Tural Ahmadov faced Russia’s Igor Punchenko in the final, falling 1:9. Davud Mammadov, competing in the 77 kg category, lost to Georgia’s Anri Putkaradze in the final with a score of 1:3.
