"Extraordinary elections" to select the leader of Abkhazia will be held on February 15.

Axar.az informs that local media reported on this.

It was stated that the decision was made by the deputies of the region's "parliament."

According to the "election legislation," the nomination of "candidates" will begin two months before the elections and will end 40 days before the voting.

It is noteworthy that as a result of the opposition's protests and occupation of government buildings, the "president," Aslan Bzhania, resigned.
