An employee of Iran’s embassy in Syria, Davud Bitaref, has lost his life in an armed attack in Damascus.

Axar.az reports that this was announced by Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmail Baghaei.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry has demanded that the Syrian interim government find those responsible for the crime and hold them accountable.

It is worth noting that the car driven by Davud Bitaref was shot at on December 15, but information about the incident has only been released today.
