The Qatari embassy in Damascus resumed its operations today, 13 years after closing.

Axar.az reports that this information was shared by the "Al-Arabiya" television channel.

It was noted that the flag of the emirate was raised over the Qatari embassy building today.

It is worth mentioning that Qatar is the second country after Turkiye to reopen its embassy in Syria following the removal of President Bashar al-Assad by Syrian rebels in early December.
