Azerbaijan's ambassador to Iran, Ali Alizadeh, met with Iran's Vice President and head of the Iranian Department of Environment, Shina Ansari, to discuss cooperation in the fields of climate and environmental protection.

Axar.az reports this information, citing the press service of the Azerbaijani Embassy.

"Ambassador Ali Alizadeh met with Iran's Vice President and head of the Department of Environment, Ms. Shina Ansari, to discuss cooperation in climate and environmental protection. The ambassador also attended the '22nd International Environmental Exhibition' held in Iran," noted the diplomatic mission's social media account.

It should be recalled that last month, Iran's Vice President visited Azerbaijan to participate in the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
