During Trump’s presidency, the borders of many countries will change, and some may even disappear entirely.

Axar.az reports that Yevgeny Mikhailov, an expert on international conflicts shared this in an interview with Russian media.

He noted that Trump’s team has already made claims over Greenland and the Panama Canal, and even jokingly suggested Canada become the next state.

“As they say, there’s often far-reaching plans behind Trump’s jokes about profound changes to the global order,” he added.

According to Mikhailov, former Soviet republics are now in a waiting position to make decisions in line with their national security strategies.

“Now, Armenia is shifting towards the West. However, if Trump’s policies change in the South Caucasus and focus on the Pacific region, Yerevan will be left alone facing a powerful state claiming the Zangezur corridor.”
