Today, the Judo "Grand Slam" tournament will kick off in Paris, the capital of France.
Axar.az reports that on the first day of the competition, 6 Azerbaijani judokas will take to the tatami.
In the 60 kg weight category, Ahmad Yusifov will face the winner of the match between Kenta Sekimoto (Japan) and Caba Papinashvili (Georgia), while Huseyn Allahyarov will challenge Bakhrom Boturov (Uzbekistan).
In the 66 kg category, Ruslan Pashayev will meet the winner of the match between Nyamrenchin Badamrakhcha (Mongolia) and Channyeong Kim (South Korea), while Rashid Yelkiyev will face Yusuf Nurkovic (Montenegro).
In the 73 kg category, Rashid Mammadaliyev will compete against Valtteri Olin (Finland), and Vusal Qelendarzade will go up against Lasha Shavdatuashvili (Georgia).
It is worth noting that Azerbaijan is represented by 10 judokas at the "Grand Slam."
