German hockey player Tobias Eder dies at 26

German national team and "Eisbären" hockey player Tobias Eder has passed away at the age of 26.

Axar.az reports that the club's press service reported this news.

It was also sadly confirmed that the cause of his death was cancer.

"We regret to inform you that Tobias Eder, forward for Eisbären Berlin in the top-flight German league, and member of Germany's national team, has passed away at the age of 26 after his fight with cancer.
Over the course of his career, Eder had 68 goals, 129 points through 263 games played in the DEL - and 5 goals, 9 points through 27 games played with Germany's national team.
He will be dearly missed."
