Hamas has ordered its senior officials to stop using mobile phones, fearing Israeli tracking and assassination amid concerns that the fragile ceasefire with Israel may collapse.

Axar.az, citing Times of Israel, reports that the ceasefire, established after Hamas’s October 7, 2023, attack on Israel, requires hostage and prisoner exchanges.

However, Hamas recently halted hostage releases, accusing Israel of ceasefire violations. In response, the IDF is bolstering forces and preparing for renewed fighting. Prime Minister Netanyahu warned that if hostages are not released by Saturday noon, Israel will resume intense military operations. Meanwhile, Hamas claims to have discovered Israeli spying devices hidden in Gaza.
