Russian President Vladimir Putin would be happy to welcome foreign leaders, including his American counterpart Donald Trump, in Moscow on May 9.
Axar.az reports that these words were said by the press secretary of Russian President Dmitry Peskov in an interview with Pavel Zarubin.
According to him, this is an important day for Russia, especially in the current circumstances:
“This is a day that symbolizes the victory over fascism. And this topic, unfortunately, is now more relevant than ever. And therefore, if there are countries, especially major powers, who decide to share the joy of this victory and the significance of this day with us, then of course, we, and especially President Putin, will be happy to welcome them in Moscow.”
Recall that on May 9, a parade dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory over fascism will be held in Moscow.
