Israel's Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar stated that Israel demands the complete demilitarization of Gaza and will not support transferring civilian control from Hamas to the Palestinian Authority.

Axar.az, citing Ynet, reports that he emphasized the need for a deradicalization policy in the enclave.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces withdrew from most of southern Lebanon under the cease-fire agreement with Hezbollah, except for five key positions.

Sa'ar accused Iran and Turkiye of working to rebuild Hezbollah's capabilities.

Negotiations for a second phase of the hostage deal are expected to begin, with Hamas offering to release six Israeli hostages depending on Israel’s concessions. However, Israel's security cabinet has decided to focus on completing the first phase before advancing negotiations, seeking an extension of the cease-fire period.
