Mark Carney has been sworn in as Canada's new prime minister and has officially taken office.

Axar.az reports that the new prime minister, who has never held public office in Canada, will lead the Liberal Party in the elections to be held later this year.

It should be noted that the election in Canada was supposed to be held in October this year, but since Trudeau resigned earlier, the ruling party elected Carney as prime minister through an internal election. After taking office, Carney can continue in office until October or call a special election.
