Guterres welcomes Armenia-Azerbaijan talks

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres welcomes the discussions between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the UN Secretary-General's Press Secretary, Stephane Dujarric, in a statement.

S. Dujarric added that the Secretary-General appreciates the statements of Armenia and Azerbaijan on the completion of negotiations on the draft peace agreement:

"He is pleased with the progress made by the parties towards the normalization of relations and strongly supports their efforts to resolve all outstanding issues in the interests of long-term peace in the region."
