An Azerbaijani citizen was injured in an armed attack in Turkiye.

Axar.az reports that tthe incident occurred in one of the restaurants in the Şişli district of Istanbul.

Three people—Erkan A., Beyhan T., and Azerbaijani citizen Hüseyn M.—were injured as a result of two unidentified individuals opening fire with firearms.

The attackers fled the scene.

Police and emergency medical teams were dispatched to the area. The injured individuals were taken to the hospital by ambulance. Erkan A. and Beyhan T. are reported to be in critical condition, while the Azerbaijani citizen sustained minor injuries.

The police have launched an operation to apprehend the suspects involved in the attack.
