Ukraine and the U.S. have agreed on ensuring navigation security in the Black Sea and halting attacks on energy infrastructure.
Axar.az reports that this was stated by Rustem Umerov, the head of the Ukrainian delegation participating in the negotiations in Riyadh.
"All parties have agreed to ensure safe navigation, cease the use of force, and prevent the use of commercial vessels for military purposes in the Black Sea. Additionally, an agreement was reached on the complete cessation of attacks on the energy infrastructure of both Ukraine and Russia," he said.
Umerov emphasized that the movement of Russian warships beyond the eastern part of the Black Sea would be considered a violation of the agreement’s spirit and a threat to Ukraine's national security.
Furthermore, he noted that the parties welcomed the involvement of third countries in supporting the implementation of maritime and energy agreements:
"For the effective implementation of these agreements, it is crucial to hold additional technical consultations as soon as possible to agree on all details related to execution, monitoring, and oversight."
It is worth noting that today in Riyadh, representatives from the U.S., Russia, and Ukraine agreed on implementing safe navigation, refraining from the use of force in the Black Sea, and halting reciprocal strikes on energy infrastructure.
