The first group of Russian prisoners of war under the age of 25 was returned to Russia by the agreements reached in Istanbul.

Axar.az reports that the Ministry of Defense published a statement on this.

"In return, the same number of prisoners of war of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were transferred to Kyiv," the statement said.

The number of prisoners exchanged was not disclosed.

It was reported that the servicemen are currently in Belarus, where they are provided with the necessary psychological and medical assistance.

"All Russian servicemen will be brought to the country for treatment and rehabilitation in medical institutions of the Russian Ministry of Defense," the statement said.
