Ukraine will soon have the capability to strike targets within Russian territory.
Axar.az reports that this statement was made by Germany’s Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul.
The minister noted that supplying new weapons to Ukraine is not primarily a financial issue, but rather a matter of production capacity:
“This isn’t about money. It’s about the production capabilities of Ukrainian and European military factories. European partners are currently working on this issue.”
Wadephul added that Ukraine has the right to defend itself and will soon possess weapon systems capable of affecting Russian territory:
“Ukraine has the right to defend itself from attacks. It will also be able to strike Russian territory. But we won’t be informing Putin about what weapons we’re giving to Ukraine,” the minister stressed.
The German foreign minister also stated that he no longer tries to understand the logic behind Putin’s attacks on Ukraine:
“He will only stop once he realizes that his plan has failed.”
