The United States has withdrawn from a conference at the UN on a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in a statement by the State Department.

It is reported that the UN is hosting an ineffective conference and that this is an advertisement during diplomatic efforts to end the conflict:

"The conference not only does not promote peace, but also prolongs the war. It will embolden Hamas, reward it for its actions, and undermine its real efforts to achieve peace."

It should be noted that a conference dedicated to Palestine was held at the UN today.
