As a result of the fire opened by the Azerbaijani army yesterday, the Nissan Patrol car of the commander of one of the battalions of the Armenian army caught fire.
Axar.az reports this information was spread by "Graparak" newspaper. According to the report, the shooting took place in the direction of Nakhchivan.
The newspaper claimed that the car was fired upon by the ConEC and it was completely burnt to ashes.
The information was confirmed by the press secretary of the Armenian Defense Ministry Shushan Stepanyan. He said such skirmishes took place every day and as a result both sides suffered technical losses.
However, he said the car did not belong to the battalion commander.
Stepanyan said the situation in the direction of Nakhchivan remained stable.
A request was made to the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry on the issue.
