On January 14, Defense Minister Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov met with newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Azerbaijan Junichi Wada.

Axar.az reports that the Defense Minister wished success to the ambassador in his diplomatic activities, emphasizing the activities that serve to strengthen cooperation and mutual trust between Azerbaijan and Japan in many areas, the Defense Ministry told.

Expressing satisfaction with the launch of activities in our country, the diplomat said he would spare no effort to develop Azerbaijani-Japanese relations, especially in the military sphere.

The sides exchanged views on the prospects of military cooperation between the two countries and other issues of mutual interest.
