The Azerbaijani Army and the Pakistani and Turkish Armed Forces will hold joint military exercises.

Axar.az reports that the issue was discussed at a meeting between Defense Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov and Pakistan's new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan Bilal Hayee.

The meeting noted that military cooperation meets the interests of both countries and stressed the need to increase efforts in this direction.

During the discussions, the sides exchanged views on holding joint military exercises with the Azerbaijani Army involving various types of troops of the Pakistani and Turkish Armed Forces, including special forces, organizing mutual visits of servicemen to exchange experience and a number of other issues.

On January 15, Defense Minister Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov met with Pakistan's new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan Bilal Hayee.
