About 9,000 servicemen in the Azerbaijani Army have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
Axar.az reports that the statement came from the Defense Ministry in response to a request to vaccinate personnel in the Azerbaijani Army against COVID-19.
"During the pandemic, the Azerbaijani Army is taking appropriate measures in accordance with the order of the Minister of Defense to protect the health of personnel and ensure full safety against COVID-19.
The Main Medical Department of the Ministry of Defense constantly monitors preventive measures carried out in military units.
Vaccination began on February 16 to protect the health of servicemen.
Vaccination of the personnel of the military units located in the Baku garrison is carried out at the General Clinical Hospital of the Armed Forces, and the vaccination of the servicemen of the military units stationed in the liberated territories is carried out in the relevant military medical institutions.
To date, about 9,000 servicemen have been vaccinated against COVID-19," the ministry said.
