The Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, attended the opening ceremony of the IDEF-2021 International Defense Exhibition in Istanbul on 17 August at the invitation of the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Hulusi Akar.

The Defense Minister inspected weapons, equipment and military equipment produced by various companies at the exhibition.

During the visit, Colonel-General Hasanov met with the heads of the Turkish Defense Industry ASELSAN, ROKETSAN, HAVELSAN, ASPILSAN and a number of other companies.

During the meetings, the sides exchanged views on the prospects for the development of military-technical cooperation and other issues of mutual interest.
