On August 25, at about 15:45, Shiraliyev Ruslan Nariman oglu, a soldier serving in the territory of the "Gubadli" special border division of the Border Troops of the State Border Service, located in the direction of the part of the Gorus-Gafan road near the village of Ashagi Cibikli, Gubadli region. He was suddenly attacked by a serviceman and wounded in the chest with a bayonet during a hand-to-hand fight.

Axar.az reports that the SBS told that the Armenian military, seeing that other border guards came to the rescue, took advantage of the dense forest area and fled.

"Soldier R. Shiraliyev was immediately evacuated to the military hospital of the State Border Service, and his life is not in danger. All the responsibility for the incident lies with the Armenian side, and this provocation will be adequately responded to," the statement said.
