The part of the Gafan-Gorus highway passing through the territory of Azerbaijan was closed after an Azerbaijani soldier was attacked by Armenian servicemen in the direction of Gubadli yesterday.

Axar.az reports this information was broadcasted by the National Security Service of Armenia. According to the report, the road was closed at 23:00 last night, and the remaining vehicles were evacuated.

Armenian Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan said that Azerbaijan allowed the removal of civilian vehicles remaining in the area, but the road was closed. He said that Russian border guards are currently negotiating with Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijani army has closed another checkpoint on the Gorus-Gafan road.
