On June 2, there was a telephone conversation with the Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, at the initiative of Colin Kahl, the US Deputy Secretary of Defense for Political Affairs.

Axar.az was informed about this by the Ministry of Defense.

The parties exchanged detailed views on the relations between the two countries, the situation in the region and security issues.

During the telephone conversation, prospects for the development of bilateral military cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States were also discussed.
