Azerbaijan nearly doubles oil exports to Austria

In 2025, Azerbaijan exported 177.5 thousand tons of crude oil and petroleum products obtained from bituminous minerals to Austria, worth 88 million US dollars.

Axar.az reports, citing the State Customs Committee, that compared to the same period in 2024, this represents an increase of 40.1 million US dollars, or 1.8 times, in value, and an increase of 91.6 thousand tons, or twofold, in volume.

In 2024, Azerbaijan exported 85.9 thousand tons of oil and petroleum products to Austria, valued at 47.9 million US dollars.

In 2025, Azerbaijan exported 23.4 million tons of crude oil and petroleum products obtained from bituminous minerals to 21 countries worldwide. The total export value reached 12.1 billion US dollars.

Compared to the corresponding period of 2024, export value declined by 2.4 billion US dollars, or 16.2%, while physical volume increased by 215 thousand tons, or 0.9%.

In 2025, these products accounted for 48.28% of Azerbaijan’s total exports.
