Azerbaijan and Serbia advance key economic projects

Azerbaijan and Serbia are implementing important projects for the economy and industry.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the 1st meeting of the Strategic Partnership Council between Azerbaijan and Serbia.

"Today, I am accompanied by high-ranking members of the government, which indicates that there are many issues to be discussed among the members of the delegation, as well as among all of us. Before the visit of Marko Durić and Aleksandar Vučić to Azerbaijan soon this year, the results of today's visit are already available, and I ask all members of the Azerbaijani delegation to take this as seriously as always, so that we can implement what we have agreed on in the shortest possible time," the head of state noted.

The President of Azerbaijan emphasized that, looking at the agenda of today's meeting and the presentations of the relevant ministers, it is possible to say that the agenda has expanded even further:

"We are implementing important projects for our economies and industry. Mr. Vučić mentioned the construction of a power plant. This is an important indicator of how cooperation has been diversified. We started with cooperation in the gas sector, and now we are moving to the next stage - opportunities for electricity generation are emerging. This will be one of the largest and most important investments made in Europe in recent years. This is also a demonstration of a high level of mutual trust, because investments are made only in countries with high relations and partnerships."
