Uzbekneftegaz and SOCAR expand cooperation

Top management from Uzbekneftegaz, Uzbekistan;s state-owned energy major, has recently met with representatives from SOCAR’s subsidiaries, SOCAR Trading and SOCAR Downstream Management.

Axar.az reports that during the meeting, the parties emphasized that the strengthening of the Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan strategic partnership and the political dialogue between the heads of state of the two countries have contributed to the intensification of economic relations in the oil and gas sector.

SOCAR representatives expressed their readiness to expand cooperation with JSC Uzbekneftegaz to increase the efficiency of the Bukhara Oil Refinery, optimize production, and implement modern operational technologies.

At the conclusion of the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue practical cooperation, implement joint initiatives, and develop promising projects. Additionally, a visit by an Azerbaijani working group to the facility will be organized to conduct a technical audit and determine future measures based on the results.
